Let's find out more about Abby's wellness tips in our brief Q&A:
1) Where are you currently based?
I am currently splitting my time between the UK and Taiwan!
3) What makes you smile or laugh?
Apart from the obvious answers about time with family and friends which I love; Whenever I do a seminar for young adults and youth, there are a lot of moments that give me that warm happy feeling and I can’t help but smile. I think the sharing of knowledge is so important and the type of information that can have a positive impact on your health and wellbeing is invaluable…To show people how easy healthy lifestyle changes can be and see the lightbulb come on in their head is a great feeling. Small steps turn into big strides.
4) Share your journey with us?
A few years back I took the decision to leave a successful career in oceanography as a project manager and follow my lifelong passion for fitness. At the time there were a lot of people asking why I would leave something stable and secure for something with a lot more risk involved. However, I think it is so important to do what truly makes you happy and follow your heart. I set out my plans and aspirations, got certified by NSCA and got going. Since then I’ve worked with a range of clients over in the UK, Europe and North America as well as here in Asia, building up my knowledge and experience to aid anyone who needs help on the path towards their fitness goals.
5) Any wellness tips for our fans?
My advice to most people would be to not go to extremes with regards to your nutrition. The
internet is littered now with extreme diet strategies and meal plans. However, it’s important to do something you can maintain over time as well as something that is comfortable to your daily life. Super high or low carbs or fats for instance, might sound good on paper, and your favourite celebrity might have success using this style of diet…but it might be an awful time for you depending on your wants and needs. Start with the basics, know how many calories you need each day, know what foods agree or disagree with you and move on from there.
6) What is your favourite healthy recipe or drink?
If you're like me and pack a lot into your day, Smoothies are a great way to quickly and easily get some healthy nutrition into your diet. Try this out for a healthy and muscle priming breakfast shake…one of my favourite ways to get the nutrients in my body and squeeze in some extra meals is with shakes (I’ll talk about it more soon).

7) What do you love about Rumies?
One thing that certainly separates RUMI-X from the rest of the pack is its use of sustainable fibres. The fact that RumiX does this without sacrificing performance, quality or comfort is really impressive and definitely something that attracted me to using the brand.
8 ) How do you stay motivated or on track?
My motivation comes from always holding myself accountable for what happens in my life. If I want to achieve something or move things up a level…I know the outcome relies on my work ethic and my effort. I know it all comes down to what I am doing with my 24 hours. Hard work mixed with self-belief more often than not will be the recipe for success.
